In November, because of her
tournament record, she was named to the 1996 NAA Adult Unlimited United
States Archery Team for the second year in a row.
At the Duel of the Desert FITA
in October she set two world records.
At the State Field she won her
age group.
At the World Target
Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia in August she won the adult individual
gold medal setting one world record and also won the team gold with
another world record.
At the National Field Archery
Association Outdoor Nationals in Wisconsin in July she won setting three
new national records in her age group.
At the NFAA Southwest Sectional
she won her youth division shooting from adult stakes. She also outscored
the Young Adult Male Champion.
At the Junior Olympic Archery
Development Outdoor Championships in July she won her age division and set
five new records.
At the United States World
Outdoor Trials in June she made the U.S.A. adult archery team placing
second. This team is going to Indonesia. She was the only non-professional
to make the womenıs team.
At the Redding trail shoot and
NFAA 3D Nationals she won the youth division from shooting from adult
distances.
At the World Indoor
Championships in England she won a gold medal and set a new world record
with the U.S.A. Womenıs Team. She finished sixth overall individually.
At the National Archery
Association Indoor Championships she won setting a new record for the 15
to 18 year old age Division.
At the Junior Olympic Archery
Development Indoor Championships she won setting a new record for the 12
to 14 year old age Division.
At Las Vegas at the Vegas
International Indoor shoot she made the Championship elimination cut.( The
top thirty-two out of one hundred and twenty competitors.)
At the Bowrack in San Pablo, CA
she shot a perfect 300 score on the Vegas target in league. She is only
the second person ever in thirty years to shoot a 300 score in league
there.
At the United States World
Indoor Trials in January she made the U.S.A. adult archery team placing
third. This team was going to England. She also tied a world scoring
record.
At the Duel of the Desert in
Arizona she won top adult female and set a new female tournament scoring
record.
At the Pacific Coast
Championships won top adult female with a two day score of 1315.( Nine
points under the world record.)
After just turning thirteen,
birthday 9/11/81, she placed fourth at the National Archery Association
Compound Invitational after defeating the top seed adult professional.
By her performance in 1994 she
was select to the NAA 1995 adult Unlimited United States Archery Team.
At the Junior World
Championships in Trento, Italy she received the bronze medal. She was the
only American girl to place after the American compound girls were first
and second going into final eliminations.
At the NFAA Outdoor Field
Nationals in August she shot the winning score in the 12 to 14 year old
age division, but was penalized for a three hundred point misprint on her
scorecard. Her competition with a lot of class gave her the championship
bowl.
At the Junior Olympic Archery
Development Target Championships she won setting four new records for the
12 to 14 year old age Division.
At the Junior World Trials in
June she finished first overall to make the USA Junior World Team.
At Redding Trail Shoot received
top female high score trophy for a second time.
At the Junior Olympic Archery
Development Indoor Championships in March she won setting a new record for
the 12 to 14 year old age Division.
At Las Vegas at the Vegas
International Indoor shoot she made the Championship elimination cut.( The
top thirty-two out of one hundred competitors.)
At first J.O.A.D. Outdoor
(9/18-19/93 at Sacramento she shot the next age group.12-14 year old. and
would have broken the National Record with her score by over a hundred
points.
N.A.A. 11 year old and under
National Indoor and National Outdoor Target Champion. Set a total of five
records for distance and overall score.
Shot high score of 1353 in the
outdoor with over two hundred J.O.A.D shooters. The closest shooter was
twelve points behind.
In the National J.O.A.D. Indoor
with a score of 549 was a record and would have been a record in the next
age group.
At the N.F.A.A. Outdoor Field
Nationals shot a perfect animal round that she now holds three out of four
National records.
Won the 11 year old and under
at the N.F.A.A. Indoor despite equipment problems.
Won California State Indoor
Championships.
California J.O.A.D. Compound
champion and new state record holder Indoor and Outdoor.
In Las Vegas Unlimited
Championship Trophy Division missed Championship Flight by one place.
Angela
Moscarelli is the youngest archer to make an United States World Team and
the youngest in the history of the sport at thirteen to win a World gold
medal. She is also the youngest archer at fourteen to win a major open
tournament in the Adult division. She is the current holder of 19 National
Archery records. She has now tied the record with ten for the most Junior
Olympic Archery Development ( 18 years old and under.) records held by
anyone. The person she is tied with is twenty-one years old and a two time
Olympian. She has now jumped up to the next age group to break this tie this
year. She now holds two adult individual world records, two team world
records and two junior world records.
