The AAGPBL provided an opportunity for female athletes to play professional
baseball from 1943-1954. This site is the premiere online source for information
about the League’s history, teams, participants, research resources and the
active players’ association.
National Women's History Project
The National Women's History Project is an educational, non-profit organization
dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the diverse and historic
accomplishments of women. Their website offers historical and current
information about women who have actively sought to improve the status of women
in society both in the United States and around the world and information on how
to obtain educational materials.
Women in Sports
Women in Sports is dedicated to providing role models of women athletes that
validate women's accomplishments and perpetuate a new vision of women's
abilities, autonomy and self determination. Their site gives links to both
profiles of female athletes and top sites for women athletes grouped by sport.
